Government employees working on a Saturday?  Big backlog of speeding tickets to process, perhaps.

Letter in response to court order request.
As you can see by this response, the clerks finally gave up trying to figure out what the heck I wanted, and punted to the Commissioner.  Instead of the court issuing the order immediately, I was asked to schedule a motion hearing to request the order. I suspect that this may mean that motions must be handled at hearings, not through the mail, though I'm not quite sure yet of whether this is the case. This question has arisen in my brother's recent speeding citation, so I suppose we'll know soon.

And here again, they returned my bail check to me. I finally gave up trying to give them my bail money. As it turned out, it saved them cutting me a refund check as the City of Fremont had to do.

Just over two weeks later, I went down to the courthouse and scheduled a motion hearing. I could have waited another two weeks, but what the heck, might as well get it over with, right?
