We could have sued the Fremont Police for $100 in civil court for failing to respond to the subpena under provisions of California law, but we didn't bother. Too bad, that might have been entertaining. But then, the District Attorney is immune from lawsuits while in office, so we probably wouldn't have won anyway.
Also, I have heard that the speed limit along this stretch of road is planned for an increase to the legal limit of 40mph from 35.
